TWG Assignment: Gathering Herbs... Alone

"I want to come with you!" Saplingpaw pleaded.

"No. I don't want you moving that leg. If you walk around it won't heal properly." Her mentor explained. "Now lay down and don't move till I get back."

Saplingpaw sat down, pouting. "But it's boring in here.."

"Too bad! I won't let you turn out like me!" The tom hissed and left the den. He knew he was being harsh, but it was for the young she-cat's own good. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he let Saplingpaw's enthusiasm and boundless energy fade away just like his had so many moons ago. He was going to see his apprentice run again if it was the last thing he did.
